The video is Gary Taubes explaining why calorie consumption is not the only cause of being overweight, but rather the consumption of refined carbs and sugars. Its a must watch.
The overarching concept is that sugar causes an insulin response that DIRECTLY translates to the production of fat in the body. I can truly testament to that – once I cut simple carbs and sugar from my diet the body fat melted off.
